Black Rice

Posted by on May 19 at 15:12 PM

Seeing that Condoleezza Rice is the Secretary of State, it’s fine to mock black Americans.

Halle Berry accused BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles of “racism” live on air on Thursday (18MAY06), after he impersonated a “big, fat black guy” on the show. Berry, who was in the studio with Hugh Jackman to promote X-Men: The Last Stand, was quick to pick up on the notorious shock jock’s joke. Jackman quipped that the rotund Moyles would be a perfect body double for him, should he ever land the part of James Bond. Moyles said, “Your Bond double? I could definitely do that. Put your hands up in the air! I’m a black American guy. A big, fat black guy. Put you hands up in the air. I don’t wanna be shooting yo a**!” Berry remarked, “Are we having a racist moment here?” To which Moyles hastily replied, “No, no! Not at all!” He later returned to the subject after Berry left the studio, sniping, “‘Are we having a racist moment here?’ Oh just get over yourself. What the hell was all that about?” A Radio 1 spokesman says, “There wasn’t anything racist in what Chris said.”

I'm a mutimillionaire black American woman and whaaaa....whaaaa...somebody made a joke I don't like on TV! They're taking away my power! Somebody do something. Being a multimillionaire is not enough, I want the power to prevent people from making jokes I don't like too!

By the way want to hear a cool rap song about "killing faggots"? It's by the number one black artist in America! Don't like people making money off songs about "killing faggots"? What are you against free speech?

It must be the white blood in her. She is half breed you know. she can claim black all she wants, but she still a redbone.

this from the place where they still call chinese restaurants "chinkys"

as in: "hon, what are we getting for dinner tonight?"

"oh! i thought we'd order in from the chinky down the street!"

Charles, do you ever post about subjects other than black people and racism?

Moyles adopted a thick American accent and said: "I could definitely do that. Put your hands up in the air! I'm a black American guy. A big fat black guy. I don't wanna be shooting yo' ass."

So in other words Chris Moyles was not using race for the effect of race?

Charles

Halle Berry, sometimes you can ignore the racist the remarks and its Ok. But when you are confronted with an entire radio audience hanging onto your every word its a hell of a different story, because all of your struggles as a Black African American Woman are put on the line. You did the right thing. Your mother didn't lie.

Halle Berry was right to call him out. His comments were stupid. And he was a coward to wait until she left to start dissing her. If he didn't think he did anything wrong, he could have spoken up right then. What a jerk.

Halle Barry, the world's highest paid actress, has called out Hollywood on racism too -
Halle Berry has launched a savage attack on Hollywood - saying the film industry is full of racists.

As a black actress, the beautiful star says she struggles to find work and is now being forced to make and star in her own films to survive.

The screen beauty - whose string of lead roles in major movies includes 'Catwoman' and 'Monster's Ball' - says she has resorted to buying the rights of books to develop into films and has four such projects in development.

She confessed: "I've been called a nigger straight to my face. but there's also much more subtle insidious ways that racism occurs here in Hollywood.

"I don't care what anyone says - they may think it doesn't exist but it's usually those who aren't black. The struggle for a woman of colour to find good material is still very present, and it's a struggle I fight every day.

" The 38-year-old star condemned the world's greatest film producers and directors ahead of today's (25.01.05) announcement of the Academy Award nominations - in which no woman from an ethnic minority is expected to be in the running for Best Actress and Supporting Actress.

The world's highest-paid Black actress added: "I try to make the best out of what comes to me but it's going to be about making my own reality really."

Charles thank you so much for you courage in calling out Seattle Weekly on racism and antisemitism. I notice this week there still is no black man on the Weekly's cover.

I wanted to explain something that I see causing misunderstanding. Imagine that Talk Show host had said instead "Look I'm an American gay! Let's raise our hands in the air and dance to Village People." No American gay would take offense at that because American gays have a different sense of humor.

The same goes for platinum selling rap songs about beating up faggots. American Gays are so used to hearing faggot this, and faggot that, that gays don't even notice anymore. Or if they do notice they just laugh.

And so what about Condi Rice? If Condi were any color except black she'd be an even more powerful woman, and Oprah imagine how much richer she'd be if she were a white woman.

Racism is really everywhere you care to look for it.

"Racism is really everywhere you care to look for it."

Indeed, there is even racism in the ink blots of the Rorschach test.

Chris Moyles is a buffoon. A complete and utter buffoon. He has been lauded as the saviour of radio one, but really, hes more the scourge of the airwaves...uuuugh!
