George W. Bush thinks his brother Jeb should run for preznint.

President George W. Bush praised his brother, Florida governor Jeb Bush, as an “excellent” leader who would make a “great president” of the United States, according to news accounts. “I think Jeb would be a great president. But it’s up to Jeb to make a decision to run,” Bush told reporters at a roundtable interview here with several Florida newspapers…

He added that his brother’s “political future is very bright—if he chooses to have a political future. But he is an independent-minded guy. His priority is his family.”

Jeb’s family, of course, includes drug addicts, smugglers, and drunks. Naturally Jeb is a big backer of family values—but mostly for other peoples’ families. His own family gets a pass.

Y'know, I'd love to say that I was surprised by this but... somehow it just seems like the most logical next step for the GOP.

The difference isn't the drugs and smuggling, but the hypocrisy. The Kennedys don't run around judging everyone else like the Bushes (and hypocrites past and present like Jim West, Rush Limbaugh, Jimmy Swaggert, the list is endless) do about family values.

Someguy - But we only had a Kennedy in the White House for a short time before he was executed. When his brother tried to run for President he was also executed.

I think (hope) Dub Ya is a dynasty killer. His douchetastic presidency has done to the Bush family political juggernaut, what Sirhan Sirhan and Chapaquitic did to the Kennedys.

George H.W. Bush was asked about Hilary in an interview recently and he said she'd make a fantastic president. "Bush. Clinton. Bush. Clinton" was his prediction for 2008. Rupert Murdoch is holding a fund raiser for Senator Clinton for her Senate campaign. Jeb's not as stupid as his brother. He knew that when his brother decided to run, the money was lining up for George. He surely can see the money lining up behind Hillary right now.

Is there a god or what? If Jeb Bush were to be elected in 2008 I would be ecstatic. I mean would we Americans rather have Hitlery Clinton in office? No way! Jeb Bush would do nicely thanks. I can’t think of a better Republican for the nomination in ‘08.

Well hes already won (Delivered) Florida and Ohio. Jeb is a Project for the New American Century signatory so I'd bet hes got some money lined up behind him.

Actually, Bush #41 should run again. He's eligible since he only had one term.
