What’s the Matter With Straight People?

Posted by on April 21 at 20:15 PM

We’ve been hearing from a lot of homophobic straight folks about Christopher Frizzelle’s brilliant Club Z piece, Bleak House. You know, gays are gross, we all fist, we’re all into sleazy sex, we all go to bathhouses, etc.

Well chew on this, bigoted breeders:

In a searing court attack on Charlie Sheen, actress Denise Richards alleges that her estranged husband is unstable, violent, addicted to gambling and prostitutes, and visits pornographic web sites featuring young men and girls who appear underage…. Richards also charges that Sheen, 40, assaulted her and threatened her life during a December 30 incident at the actress’s Los Angeles home. Richards claims that an enraged Sheen—who was over for a visit with the couple’s two children—told her she was “fucking with the wrong guy” and called her a series of vulgar names in front of the children. The actor, Richards said, then shoved her to the ground and screamed, “I hope you f—king die, bitch.” As Richards, 35, tells it, Sheen was angry because she had told her divorce attorney about discovering details of Sheen’s porn-surfing practices. Richards’s declaration, filed in support of her request for a restraining order against Sheen, contends that Sheen “belonged” to “disturbing” sites “which promoted very young girls, who looked underage to me with pigtails, braces, and no pubic hair performing oral sex with each other.” Other sites visited by Sheen, Richards alleges, involved “gay pornography also involving very young men who also did not look like adults.” Richards claims that she also discovered that Sheen “belonged to several sex search type sites” on which he “looked for women to have sex with.” His online profile, Richards adds, included a photo of “his erect penis.” The Richards evisceration also portrays Sheen as a lousy father who urged her to abort their first child. And, when she was about to give birth to their second child via a C-section, Sheen’s attention was “diverted to his pager for the results of his betting.”

Wow. Straight people are so violent and sleazy and gross, huh?

That only proves that men are gross, violent, and sleazy. Women are the only thing stopping straight men from having the same sex lives as gay men.

but not all gay men have gross violent and or sleazy sex lives either. Women are not the only thing keeping men from "those" kind of sex lives. Some gay men (and straight men too) keep themselves from it. Men cross the range from vanilla to really icky regardless of orientation. for every gay man who has gone to the Z there is one (or maybe even 3) who hasn't. the sex life you lead has as much to do with your emotional make-up, temperment, upbringing and personal tastes as to who is the partner in your life. Men in general may be more randy than women, but that doesn't mean men in general are going to sink into depravity across the board or that if they dabble in the more extreme at some point or from time to time, that they will make it a lifestyle. Charlie Sheen seems to me to be one of those types of guys who has been blessed with looks and money in combination with an aggressive attitude of entitlement. He's been able to indulge in all sorts of sexual stuff (and drug and gambling shit) and just keep going. Sometimes people just keep going and going to fill that need. No one says no. He gets what he wants regardless of the conseqences. And when the shit hits the fan, they still have that sense of entitlement to their desires. They were born with that sense. That is one personality type that keeps going until they reach Depravityville. Some gay men are like that too. No doubt. But I think from what i've seen, most men settle down (not all but most) because their needs and wants don't go to the extreme. Most men don't like Depravityville or at the very least don't want to make more than curiosity stop there. I'm sure the love of a good woman helps a straight guy but the guys own make up is more important.

Hmm, so...Sheen looks at pornography? BFD. First of all, good luck finding any straight porn that has women WITH pubic hair these days. Secondly...one of Richard's complaints is that Sheen looks at “gay pornography...involving very young men who...did not look like adults.” So, what's your point? I mean, seriously...how many 'bigoted breeders' frequent this blog?

Actually you twit, sheen ia closet bi sexual freak who likes young boys.

Kinkiness knows no gender, race or sexual orientation. Ten years working in Seattle luxury hotel taught me that. Among our guests were a middle-aged woman who was an Omaha Socialite and heir to a midwest department store chain who liked to come to Seattle and have pairs of male twins pleasure her; A prominent surgeon who liked to have women pee on him and slap him around; and loads and loads and loads of upright citizens screwing around on their spouses with each other, OR in groups. And all this before the internet!

Interestingly enough: when Charlie Sheen stayed there he threw a huge hissyfit because Seattlites were asking him about his experience with hookers. He ended up shelling out about 10k to cover the stained silk wallpaper and smashed Wedgewood china in his suite.

As a gay parent, I wouldn't want my children exposed to Club Z.

Was The Stranger celebrating Gay Bathouse culture in the Club Z piece? Are there other Stranger articles about Club Seattle and Basic Plumbing? What about the Gay Sex in the parks in the city?

The tone of the Club Z article did not strike me as promotional, many read the article as a description of a disgusting environment that they'd never want to experience.

If your purpose was to promote Seattle's Gay Bathouses and the Gay sex in public parks why not do a future Stranger article promoting this part of gay culture?

Dan...apparently I'm missing "all the straight people" who have been commenting on how perverted gay sex is relating to the Frizelle article. I've searched your forums, read the letters to the the Stranger over the past couple of weeks, and have yet to see even 1 comment from a straight person referring to perverted gay sex. Rather, what I do see is a lot of name calling and in-fighting from the gay men themselves...and a long rambling tirade from another gay man about whether or not HIV=AIDS.

I did see a few letters from straight people who commented that the article was well written and interesting.

Listen, certainly there is a lot of homophobia in the straight world. But, unless I'm missing something here, let's not create opportunities to bash all straight people when there appears to be little to no reason for it.

savage...not interested in nor will I defend said articles on presswood suckchambers or hollywood interests...my thoughts and conversations have evolved from people and things to concepts and ideas...but I will considers: hugh downs, in repose, bearskin, roaring fire, mock turtleneck, hagar slacks, something hushpuppy, outstretched brandy snifter in hand..mmmmmmmmmmmm...those eleanor roosevelt lips...mmmmmmmm....savage, your myriad of inputs have disappointed as of late. might I suggest that you go on sabbatical and import another chinese child...I hear that it's both addicting and rewarding. then write something nice about the experience.

ok - stop thinking...right now.....what is this really about?....forget about defending your particular 'group' right now.....why is this comiong out right now?....because Charlie Sheen has recently been on national tv - Jimmy Kimmel - saying he doesnt think any of the so called official stories about 9/11 make sense....he is questioning the official story....

THATS what this 'report' is about.....so take a break from acting as if a)your discussing facts - your not....and b)using these so called facts to make a case for something else....

get why this is out right now......
