Disney is amazing! That's a pretty catchy song they sing in the cartoon about the master race and whatnot.

Wow. That is awesome. I'm guessing from the quality that this came from a multi-generational VHS copy, no doubt lovingly preserved by some fanatic collector. I bet there were about 9 copies of this in the world until now. Finally, it has a public forum where it'll be preserved for ever - thank god for the interwub! We'll certainly never see Disney releasing this.

That song in this cartoon, "Der Feuhrer's Face," was by Spike Jones (no relation to Spike Jonez the video and movie director). Jones was a popular music comedian in the 40s. You can read about it (and the cartoon) here...

Spike Jones made the song "Der Fuhrer's Face" a hit, but Oliver Wallace actually wrote it. The cartoon won an Oscar for Best Animated Short in 1943.

Disney has released "Der Fuhrer's Face" on DVD. In fact, it has done so twice -- once in its "On the Front Lines" WWII collection, and again in "The Chronological Donald, Vol. 2."
