Stranger Restaurant Listings: New & Searchable!

Posted by on April 18 at 16:21 PM

Greetings fellow members of the Slogosphere:

This is David Schmader, writing to inform you all about the hot, new, fully operational Stranger restaurant listings now living on the Web.

Thanks to all sorts of technological magic, readers can now search The Stranger’s restaurant listings in a multitude of ways, including cuisine type, neighborhood, and a variety of special features (cheap eats, late-night dining, breakfast/brunch, etc.)

Wanna give it a try? Go here.

See something we missed? Let us know.

For now, please enjoy this stock photo of a scoop of ice cream making love to a slice of apple pie.

Hot damn that pie looks good!

Wow, that's pretty cool, though selecting anything from the "by feature" pulldown seems to omit most or all search results. It probably just means some keywords need to get set in the database.

I will use this. Thank you.

I withdraw the bug report on "by features." It seems I was being more specific than necessary by selecting criteria from all three pulldowns and expecting the judgment of the database to be identical to my own.

It's actually very useful as designed.

I think India Bistro should be listed as *recommended*..

No Beacon Hill on the dropdown menu? Good god, people, show some love!

Finally, I can eat. It's been years since I weaned.

Re: Beacon Hill: Yeah, it's lumped with Rainier Valley/Mount Baker/Columbia City....

Are the Stranger's restaurant listings downloadable to an i-Pod, like you can do on the Seattle Weekly's site?

Hey! I had something to do with this!

And if you are wondering which neighborhood your favorite restaurant is in simply head up to the Stranger Editorial office and shout "what nieghborhood is suchandsuch street in?" Whomever answers first is correct.
