Look, Mom! I’m a podcast star!

Posted by on April 26 at 11:56 AM

I’ve posted before about Never Forget, a local podcast by a few music geek friends of mine, and now I’ll gladly do it again because this week I’m the co-host! I had never done a podcast before, and it was a lot of fun to pretend like I was doing pirate radio like Christian Slater in Pump Up the Volume (great movie, by the way).

For a whole hour, we play a bunch of great punk rock and make fun of each other and Pete Wentz. Here’s the playlist:

piebald - location is everything
possum dixon - we’re all happy
fifteen - inventions
hoover - TNT
meneguar - house of cats
lungfish - cleaner than your surroundings
mclusky - to hell with good intentions
team dresch - fagetarian and dyke
zero zero - true zero

So check it out by going to www.neverforgetpodcast.com. And apologies in advance for babbling, I tend to do that. Anyways, give a listen and let us know what you think! Your feedback keeps my heart beating.

Anyone who plays Lungfish, Mclusky, and Team Dresch in succession deserves sainthood.

What's the point of dual slogs if you post the same on both?

C'mon, SideOneDummy isn't THAT bad.

april: whats it to ya?

pope of chili town: sideonedummy are a graveyard for punk bands that failed on the majors, and their new bands are awful.

Eric: I just went to the sideone website to see if I could prove you wrong... I failed. Although a couple of their bands are firmly in the decent category.

It just that Joe Sib is such a nice fella.

I posted on both blogs because Lineout is still really new (it was just launched Friday), so people may not be used to checking in on it regularily. But since it's music-related, it's appropriate for the new music blog too. So for now, I'll still cross-post a few things until Lineout gets off the ground.

And we were just poking fun at SideOneDummy. It's all harmless joking, but it's sorta true. Heh. But personally I'm not a big fan of any of their releases. Thanks for checking it out!

and apparently I looked at the month, where the name was supposed to be.. and "april" is in fact "*".

duh.

"*" is a troll.

A troll? Hardly. Eric, If asking a pertinent question (why post the same thing twice) makes me a troll then I'll gladly go climb under a bridge, pretend to live there and then write a phony song about it and claim it as audiobiographical. I think I'll call it: "Something in the Way."
