Slog - Comments on Bush Haters

Okay, we're all Bush haters here. No one here but us liberal ducks, quack quack quack. Reading nothing but Americablog, DailyKos, Atrios, and, um, Slog, and other liberal blogs—finally we have a the left-wing echo chamber that can compete with the right-wing echo chamber!—can warp your take on national politics, and give you the impression that everyone out there agrees with you about Bush and the GOP. Bush is dangerous! He's incompetent! He's unpopular! But if everyone agrees with you, why is Bush president? Why is there even a question that Dems will re-take the House and Senate in November...

i regularly check in with the conservatives -- know thine enemy and all that jazz. the wave of anti-bush sentiment on the right is really pretty astounding.

i have to wonder what will come of it all. we've still got a couple of years with ding dong in the white house and no real strong dem candidate in sight...

Nevertheless, I am extremely relieved that none of these clowns made it into the Oval Office: Al Gore, Howard Dean, or John Kerry.

I feel no need to resolve this dichotomy, so I'll remain delightfully conflicted.

what scares me is why Bush still has only a 38 point approval rating. shouldn't it be like 15? and in a recent poll, 60% of those polled disapproved of the job he is doing. that means 40% approve? 40% think he's doing great with Iraq, the economy, homeland security, education, human rights?! i think that the approving 40% don't care what he does as long as he makes gay marriage and abortion illegal, and keeps his agenda on a faith-based track. this is why the U.S. is doing a downhill spiral to hell.

Working at Microsoft, I was fortunate enough to see Senator John Kerry on a recent visit to the company talk and reflect on the 2004 election. At one point he came very close to my seat to respond to a question from behind me. We couldn't help but look at each other right in the eye and we both smiled. I hereby take him off my clowns list in my previous post to this thread. John Kerry is indeed a genuine American patriot, and would have been a fine president.
