That’s the e-mail address to contact and book
Tony Snow’s rock band, Beats Workin’.

Former Fox News guy Snow, the Great Decider’s new press secretary, plays guitar, sax, and ….flute.

More proof that rock'n'roll is a pantomime and the product of essentially conservative and Republican impulses. I'll bet they make tuff faces when they're belting out "Born To Be Wild". Notice that they cover The Wonders, which is beyond parody. And they spell a Beatles song title wrong.

Make it die.

I don't think this is proof of any such thing. Perhaps there is a little truth about the idea of R&R ivolving pantomime, but that's true of any art. It is in no way a product of conservative impulses.

Poetry didn't die because of Rod McKuen. Rock and roll will surive this.

"Rock and roll will survive this" ... ?

Rock and roll is long dead already.

I wonder if we can coax Mr. Snow onto the stage at Dimitriou's for an impromptu jazz flute performance ...

Rock and roll is dead? How did you come to that conclusion? Rock and roll is still relevant as is experimental, avant garde, electronic, etc. I'm leary of any one proclaiming the death of a movement when it isn't clear how they are qualified to do so.

Who are you? SNCC Kid? How did you come to your decision about rock?
