Addictive Web Radio Site

As usual, I’m probably about a year behind the zeitgeist on this one, but I think this site, which is an outgrowth of something called the Music Genome Project, is incredibly cool.

"Unfortunately, our music licenses prevent us from skipping more than a certain number of songs per hour". I only sorta liked one of the songs they suggested. Last.fm lets you skip all you want.

I slogged about this many months ago—but it's good enough for a reprise.

cool, thanks!

The trick with this is to consider creating different stations for different moods. Pick a song that best describes that mood for you as your starting point for that station and let it play songs that sound like it. If you enter an artist instead you can get a wide range of styles depending on the output of that artist and the experience might be less satisfying.

I've really enjoyed how this works since discovering it a few months ago.

theres a new standalone player for it:
