I would rather see naked pictures of the bassist from Fall Out Boy then think of kissing that thing.

Those pics are all over the internet today however for all the 14 year old girls who might be interested.

that lobster should be shipped to provincetown, MA, where they make a mean lobster salad roll and there are plenty of well-dressed homosexuals that would appreciate such a fancy crustacean.

Comment by Lark Hawk

I saw an exhibit on bioluminescence at the Pacific Science Center. They only had pictures of bioluminescent fish. I asked the docent why they didn't have any taxidermied or live examples, and he explained that all the fish were found at extreme depths where sunlight couldn't reach - exactly where they found this blind hairy lobster. He also said that when they bring fish from that depth up to the surface, the difference in pressure makes the creatures "fall apart." So I doubt we'll be seeing this on any restaurant menu.

Crustaceans aren't fish. They have hard shells. The guys who found the thing managed to bring it to the surface OK, and photograph it. I doubt it was very happy, but it didn't look like it was falling apart.

Wolf eel is fucking delicious. We got one out of the net when I was fishing in Alaska and the cook poached the meat. It had a sweet flavor and a firm, meaty texture. I'd eat me some wolf eel again if I didn't have to work on the deck of a Factory Trawler to get it.
