Diabetes Punk Rock

Posted by on March 4 at 13:09 PM

I simply want to share that I am pleased to have just now been introduced to a song called “I Am A Pancreas (I Seek To Understand Me …),” which contains the line, “Ridiculous eating had nothing to do with this!”

I have heard that this band (Armalite, with the now-diabetic guy from Atom and His Package singing) is double-plus uncool to punk rock people, but I can not let that stop me.

The song is here.

Isn't that song great!? Coincidentally, they play that song on Never Forget, the podcast I blogged about a few entries down... is that where you heard it? Or are there weird Armalite waves invading everyone's brains and forcing us all to listen to them at the same time? Crazy! Either way, I love it too. Nerdy or not.

The song is okay, sort of conventional. I started performing my equivalent 10 years ago--when I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic--by adopting a policy of drinking heavily most of the time.

hey! i play guitar in armalite and i am not double-plus uncool to punk rock people! we love the punks! ...except the bad ones.
