Bus Rapid Transit

Spokane style:

SPOKANE — A man hijacked a Spokane Transit bus at gunpoint and demanded to be driven to a tavern, where shots were fired before he was taken into custody today.

No one was injured, Spokane Transit Authority spokeswoman Molly Myers said.

I'm glad it didn't happen in Tacoma either. Although I did get MUGGED in downtown Tacoma on Tuesday (no kidding!).

Does this happen everywhere or just in Washington? Remember when that Metro bus was hijacked and went sailing off the Aurora Bridge in 2000?

Good point, Splichal--so much for Eli's snide reference to Spokane. At least no one died in that hijacking.
