A Lengthy Premeditation?

OR, maybe he was into raves.

I think we know what he was into.

The "now" at the end of the sentence sure is spooky.

Just another word of thanks to everyone at The Stranger for the incredible reporting and response you have provided to the greater community about this tragedy. You guys have been a voice of reason and calm in the midst of too much hype, mis-information, and fear-mongering by the mainstream media. (That Seattle Times editiorial this morning was revoltingly out of touch).

Keep up the good work and thank you again for your approach to dealing with this.

If it bleeds, it leads. Everyone loves to read about a murder, and a multiple murder is even more interesting.

Thanks for keeping on this story, you're reporting has been fantastic. The mainstream media is just trying to keep us misinformed as usual.

(Does anyone know what brand of t-shirt the murderer wore while shooting those kids?)

What misinformation is the "mainstream media" giving out? The Times and P-I reporting has been excellent.

that's my old website which i haven't updated in years. if it truly is the same person, that's scary.

This stupid notion that the mainstream media has been giving out misinformation is preposturous. Look at the Seattle Times webpage and see how badly hammered they are getting for their editorial involving raves. There's no information here about the identity of the 14 yr old girl from Fife that was killed, where I just heard that on the radio on the way home.

What 14-year-old girl from Fife? A 15-year-old girl from Bellevue, Suzanne Thorne, has been identified. Is the 14-year-old the other unidentified female, or did the radio guy screw it up?

I'll go ahead and jump to a conclusion here: this guy may have had an issue with rave culture and wanted to get inside it, and then... blow something up, so to speak.

PI says a 14-year-old, Melissa Moore, from Milton. If that's true, this might be her myspace—http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=22614253

The user's listed as 16, but I'm fairly certain you can't get a myspace account if you're 14, so she may have fibbed on her age. Several of her friends reference the murders.

Oh, that's not good.

What's with the 14-15 year old girls partying with guys in their 30s? PLUR and all, but it's kind of creepy.

Fnarf - are you telling me that when you was that age you didnt want to do stuff that was seemingly beyond your years and hang out with older people, that you saw as 'cool'?

Ive seen criticism towards the rave scene from various sources but its becoming more apparent that the shooter wasnt a part of their scene and had a grudge against it, resulting in saturdays events.

So why is it that the victims and their peers are being castigated again by society at large?

Its like if this shooting had happened in a church and people started to criticise those people and their fellow worshipers for their religious beliefs:

"What's with the 14-15 year old girls praying with guys in their 30s? We're all Gods creatures and all, but it's kind of creepy."

Starting to get the picture?

Also note the dates of the two psuedonym postings.. both on the 24th of the month. The Rave, was the evening of the 24th. I hope the cops have a hold of all this info..

To 'Also'-- I think you're onto something. Don't forget that 24 is 42 reversed, the answer to the question of life the universe and everything. He had to reverse the digits because month dates don't go up that far!

It gets spookier-- count the number of words in the second message. That's right: 24! OMG!

Oh, how the sarcasm is filling my night with stars!

For those who haven't seen it, I'd suggest checking out D. Parvaz's indictment of her very own employer's quick "rave = homicides!" assessment on its own Web site. Snap, snap, snap.

"Insightful discourse" also is alive and well on the P-I's comment boards, it seems.

Hmmm...it's five am and a fourteen year old girl is at a drug party with a bunch of twenty year olds.

There's nothing to see here...move along.
