Superior Sasquatch

Posted by on February 21 at 11:17 AM

The Sasquatch Festival line-up has just been announced and it’s damn impressive this year. They’ve expanded to three days and have a solid mix of populist and oddball acts. Complete line-up details can be viewed here.

here, here for this year's Sasquatch. I've always loved this show, but this year's looks especially good. The Flaming Lips are ridiculous in concert.

Friday looks great, but otherwise this looks like some corporate promoter trying to book an corpor alt rock fest. looks like a lot of bands were favors to larger agents. would have been a great one day fest, sort of lame three day. tragically hip? nine inch nails? tim seeley....boorrring

high priced corpo rock fest...good for the kids in spokane i guess

Friday looks great? Just be sure to save some of that crack for the show.

It's all about Saturday, my man.

Rogue Wave
Neko Case
Iron & Wine
The Flaming Lips
The Brunettes
etc.

Most festival-type programs have some sort of genre-based approach to the line-up, and I’d say that Saturday and Sunday definitely fit what prior year Sasquatch attendees would like (only in more quantity). Plus…some of the performers are a little more main-stream (like beck), but I wouldn’t classify most as corporate.

No need to criticize the festival just because it’s not your type of music. I was just psyched to see more days added.

this line up is indeed impressive, but i am a little disappointed at the lack of a three-day or even two-day pass system. it just seems like common sense, not to mention common practice, to give a discount to those going for more than one day.

Discounts to more then one day? And cut into possible profits?!? NEVER!!! In fact, it seems to me that they are trying to milk as much money as possible. $40 camping per car per day is very steep. Three day ticket with camping costs only
$285 plus service fees and other charges.
