Re: East Coast vs. West Coast

Megan brought up “Lazy Sunday,” the SNL rap video parody that’s a big hit on the web. She doesn’t mention the most compelling thing about this video: Andy Samberg.

He’s, like, totally fucking hot—huge mouth, big teeth, shaggy hair, tall, skinny—he’s the best looking guy that has ever been on SNL.

Hot? Hell yes. Tall? Not so much. I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Samberg and I'd put him at 5'8." I'm 5'10" and he was a good couple inches shorter than me.

Hm. Weird. He looks tall on TV—well, next to Chris Parnell, at any rate. I stand corrected.

Yeah, I have never stood next to the guy, but when Death Cab For Cutie was on a couple of weeks ago, Ben Gibbard seemed quite a bit taller (not to mention chubbier) than Andy and I think Gibbard is about 6 foot.

Dan, Dan, Dan, you're in a committed relationship aren't you? Yes even married men look at the ladies. And someday, when America allows gay marriage, you too might be (still) looking at young guys from Saturday Night Live (then in its 40th year, with whatever that tired old hack who directs it is named, pushing his stroller onto the set).
But for now, please Dan, keep your salacious thoughts to yourself - for the sake of your partner.
But then again, I could be wrong.

You're wrong, Terry. My boyfriend is sitting next to me on the couch—he thinks Andy Samberg isn't all that hot, but he's not shy about pointing out guys he thinks are hot.

Terry, oh Terry -----what is this neo-Puritan slop you just emitted.

I have noted that Gay Men seem to have a new code that allows a lot more erotica, roaming eyes, three ways, very open and frant sexual discussion, and so forth.

Terry, they could be your teachers. It is 2006, not 1896.

Dan, thanks for bringing this up. I feel the same way you do about Mr. Samberg. It saddens me, though, that Mr. Samberg is not 6'1" (which I imagined he was). I hate the person who posted that information: you've ruined my life.

I totally agree. Dude's absolutely adorable. The only reason I neglected to mention how hot he is is because my friends are all so sick of hearing me talk about how hot I think he is. I've been trained to not drool over him.

In fact, when I first saw the SNL skit, I was at my sister's house and the second it ended she looked at me with a knowing grin and asked "He's your new boyfriend, isn't he..." Yes. Yes he is. And since I'm 5'7" on a good day, he's the perfect height.

No, you're wrong. Horatio Sanz is more fuckable.

TeeHee! Andy Samberg and the director of 'Lazy Sunday', Akiva Schaffer, were two of my students at UCSC. (This is less creepy than it sounds, since we're the same age). Andy is not that tall, though cute as all get out.

Very interesting & professional site. You done great work.
