hands down, the best reality show on t.v.
The show has lost its sparkle for me; I was a Diana fan (single, pitiful tear...).
Now I'm in Nick's camp, and I CANNOT BELIEVE he didn't win Sasha Cohen's undying adoration with his very graceful leotard thingy. Skater outfit. Whatever.
If Diana was still around, she would have whipped up an outfit with its own set of bionic legs that could easily convert into a pet carrier/latte machine or something.

OMG? Please Dan, for God's sake: quit talking like a Valley Girl. All reality shows belong in the slag heap of history.
Go see "Looking for comedy in the Muslim world." Spend some time reading a book. Or volunteer at an animal rescue shelter. Anything but watching another lame television show.

I, too, was a huge Diana fan, but she wrote her own fate when she hooked up with the relentlessly dour Marla.
Now I'm all about Nick or Daniel V.
But I had a dream last night that Sasha Cohen was wearing Andrae's outfit in the ice capades.
Fuck yeah, Daniel V. all the way. He looked the cutest in his little skater outfit, like a little beatnik out of a 50's Audrey Hepburn movie musical. (Wow, that was probably the gayest thing I've ever written.) Oh yeah, his design rocked too, although Zulema was a worthy winner!
Funny that Daniel V most resembles Dan S :p
Anyway, I love the asshole that is Santino! If he could just, as they say, "rein it in."
Definitely Nick. Liked his stuff from the start and I just think he's great.
And I think Marla should have been booted immediately for plagarizing that Chole dress from the Nicky Hilton episode. She stole the design wholesale and expected people not to notice? What?
Who's next? I'm thinking Kara.
Really? You think Zulema was worthy? I don't know. Her outfit kind of reminded me of the inside of my body.
And Santino should have bit it last night hard. Emmett was a bore but Santino's monstrousity last night should have been the end of him.
And I'm with Stephanie on Kara-- definitely the next to go.
Now that you mention it, Zulema's outfit was a little intestinal and squishy. Still think it was cool though and could definitely see it working on Sasha.
Also agree with you re: Santino. I thought his designs and demeanor were really appealing at first, but am now over him. Dude is just plain crazy. If he wants to design for himself for the rest of his career he's on the right track. If he actually wants people to buy his stuff, you'd think he'd pay a little more attention to what they want.
I only wish I had Daniel V.'s hair—or his eyes.
And, OMG, Terry! Where is it written that a person can't enjoy the occassional trash TV program and ALSO see go see "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World," read books, volunteer, etc.? I turned on the TV at 10, watched PR, then turned it off and read the New Yorker cover-to-cover (the piece on the police in New Orleans during Katrina is amazing). Geez! Guess I PUNKED your ass!

If it makes Terry feel any better, I spent the last four years paying for my engineering degree designing irrigation ditches in Guatemala.
That said, I feel you Defman. I immediately liked Santino then felt betrayed when it turned out he was an asshole/ repetitive designer. He was kind of funny and cool at times during the show last night. Has he been humbled? We'll see how the producers manipulate our feelings for Santino before he gets booted off for making an entire dress out of a pleated breast plate and one million sparkly feathers.
before this episode, I swore that zulema was going off. her design aesthetic is awful... but she pulled this one out of her ass and did pretty well. I still think zulema will go out before kara, and probably next week.
cienna and I were kind of in awe at the bizarrely humbled santino-- what did he mumble to emmitt on the runway? was it, "sorry?"
Hey, why is everybody frontin' on Chloe? True, she seems to have an obsession with sleeveless blue frocks. But she's got talent, moxie and a subtle "bitch, please attitude." My bet for the final three: Daniel V, Chloe or Nicktino (I really cannot figure out which one of them will bite the dust. Nick has vision and common sense. But Santino alternates between being a brilliant and then festering asshole. If you could just smash them into one cohesive designer...) RIP: Zulema and Kara. Don't ask about Andrae; he cries to get attention (and I don't care if he fixed the overlock).

PR is the best reality show because it's just about people being creative and doing their best work. And unlike cooking shows you can actually "consume" the result. The only thing that's close is Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars.
I agree. I also like how they dwell on the creative process rather than fake drama happening 'back at the house'. That stuff is boring.
The best/worst part of last night's episode was Emmett's double-knit humilation of being told he was "out" while still wearing that hideous pink skater's top.
It was the kind of bloodcurdling television moment that D. Schmader lives for, I think.
okay, onw thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is...the models.
face it. daniel v's diva with the red hair is amazing, she looks nothing like any of the other models on the show. and the other eye catching beauty is the glorious audrey hepburn-esque girl who is the muse of chloe.
they are both gorgeous and unique, daniel v's is even a tad "voluptious"(sp?).
she did look sorta weird walking down the runway in d.v.'s skirt, while chloe's model really pulled off the her dress. she looked gorgeous.
any other faves model-wise?
oh yeah and best line last night-
Elle editor - "you managed to make her look both dowdy and vulgar!"
Michael Kors - "and that's really difficult to do!"
Love Daniel V.'s model. She has an authoritative presence and really 'owns it'. Some of the others seem too fragile.
I also like Chloe's red-haired model, she's so dramatic. However, only the halter-styles look like they fit properly; she's too slim for the v-necks Chloe is making for her.
Is it wrong that I'm rooting for Nick but lusting after Daniel V.? I love Nick's designs, but Daniel V. and his adorable hair make me swoon.
Also, Andrae may have cried for sympathy (so do I sometimes, so I may be biased in his favour) but he's my hero for fixing the overlock! I can't even fix my mom's old Singer when it breaks, so I'm a little in awe.

Love Santino and loved it till the last minute!!! Stupid judges kept on telling him to stop using his own overwhelming and brilliant style and make it simple and when Santino toned his style down in the last show they were like: "where is Santino's spectacular craziness". Stupid judges - if you have nothing smart to say shut up!
