… is “providing information.” To hear Joel Connelly rant, you’d think the Seattle City Council was the CIA. Staff members are supposed to provide information to reporters about what their council members are doing, Joel. It’s part of the job of serving the public.
JC probably got all sorts of good info from Jean Godden at his holiday party. I figure journalists all play the game.
I prefer to think of it as "Council seepage."
It's typical of his lack of perspective that Connelly would focus on a staff-member rather than on the Council's racist, sexist behavior in choosing a replacement Council member.
