Instrumental Aid
To state the obvious, Hurricane Katrina wreaked devastation within New Orleans’ fertile music community. Consequently, NightLIFESUPPORT, a group of philanthropic Seattle citizens, is throwing a benefit Saturday December 17 at Seattle’s Consolidated Works.
The goal, according to the press release, is to raise funds to
support displaced musicians in the New Orleans area. Instrumental will provide an eclectic evening of music, performance, and goodwill. Sponsor an instrument (shipping cost) and receive a card with a photo of the instrument—a great opportunity to purchase holiday gifts with heart! As an organization, we have been collecting instruments over the past 2 months. Donated instruments will be sponsored at the event. Sponsorship funds will be used for shipment of the instruments and to ensure the instruments will find homes with grateful beneficiaries. Our partner in New Orleans is the Tipitina's Foundation.
