Mizell also raps in Cancer Rising, who came with a Public Enemy/Paris-style aggression and articulateness the one time I caught ‘em live, though they cite Latyrx, Kanye, M.O.P., and Run DMC as reference points. Their debut album, Search for the Cure, is on my want list. They play around town with regularity. Check ‘em if you like smart, vibrant hiphop.
