Poem For Michael Jackson

Posted by on May 10 at 14:19 PM

Hi everyone. Back when I was first getting acquainted with the cult of die-hard Michael Jackson fans at the start of his criminal trial, I joined a number of true-believer webgroups, from which I still enjoy daily-update emails.

Below is a poem posted today, by one ApacheSundance:

Dear Lord Jesus
Please Hear my Prayer.
I NEED Michael Jackson
To Always Be There.

This Thursday I will turn 47.
Michael is my “piece of heaven”.

When he opens his mouth to sing a song, I forget about stuff in my
own Life that’s gone wrong.

His music helps me carry on each day,
In The things his beautiful songs
convey.

Lord, sometimes I too, need One More Chance,
to carry on until the next dance.

Lord, in a way I am selfish,
Don’t you see?

I need Michael Jackson
There, sometimes
Just for Me…….

Later in the postings, we learn of a fan drive to help Michael Jackson maintain ownership of his imperiled-by-personal-debt share of the Beatles catalog: “If each of us will save as much as possible in the next few months, we will be able to help him if he needs us. This is surely a time when we MUST put our money where our mouth is.  Michael The Great has done so much for so many people, it is now time for someone to do something for him.  If he needs financial assistance to keep the catalogs in the hands of a human being (himself), and out of the greedy paws of the dogs (sorry, but that is how I feel), then we could be a great help by contributing just $100 each.”

Start saving!
